Several small crossover SUVs on the market have a hybrid engine option available as a separate trim level. For the Toyota RAV4, however, the 2023 RAV4 Hybrid is a standalone model with individuality from front to rear. The Toyota RAV4 has been a leading choice for SUV shoppers for years thanks to its spacious, roomy interior and solid capabilities. The 2023 RAV4 Hybrid is a practical alternative for those who want greater fuel economy from their SUV. Our Jeff Wyler Toyota of Clarksville sales associates are standing by to support your deep look at these options.
Performance
The six trim levels for the 2023 Toyota RAV4 have the same four-cylinder, 203-horsepower gas engine. This powertrain includes an eight-speed auto transmission. Most of the RAV4's trims give you the option of either all-wheel or front-wheel drive. The RAV4's Adventure and TRD Off-Road trims have a standard, upgraded AWD system with traction control. In comparison, the 2023 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid has a four-cylinder gas engine that connects to a pair of electric motors. The combined output is 219 horsepower. The RAV4 Hybrid has standard all-wheel drive with these electric motors at both ends.
Appearance
The RAV4 and RAV4 Hybrid have bold, unique styles. The RAV4 is designed with a hexagon grille with horizontal accents, and it is mounted over a black fascia with a metallic skid plate. The small foglights sit in rectangular ports, and the angled, pointed headlights stream toward the rear. The sides have square wheel wells with black molding. This wheel molding is linked by a flat, black band of molding that runs over the lower door panels. The RAV4 Hybrid's look is defined by more rigorous molding over the door panels and wheel wells. The headlights have a similar shape with standout LED elements. The grille is shorter and pairs with a larger, lower fascia and dramatic, angled air vents.
Features
The 2023 RAV4 and the RAV4 Hybrid have many of the same cabin and safety features. Both cabins have a panoramic sunroof, a wireless charging pad, a heated steering wheel, a digital instrument panel, a 10.5-inch central display screen, a JBL audio system, and others. Their shared safety tech includes a traffic sign reader, forward collision warning with accident mitigation, adaptive cruise control, a surround-view parking camera, and lane keeping. The RAV4 Hybrid has a digital rear mirror, heated rear seats, and other items.

1. Before towing, confirm your vehicle and trailer are compatible, hooked up and loaded properly and that you have any necessary additional equipment. Do not exceed any Weight Ratings and follow all instructions in your Owner’s Manual. The maximum you can tow depends on base curb weight plus the total weight of any cargo, occupants, and added vehicle equipment. “Added vehicle equipment” includes additional standard/optional equipment and accessories added by the manufacturer, dealers, and/or vehicle owners. The only way to be certain of your vehicle’s exact curb weight is to weigh your vehicle without passengers or cargo. [Calculated with the new SAE J2807 method.] Installation of a tow hitch receiver or other accessories located near the rear bumper may require disabling or removing the kick sensor, and the sensor operation setting in your vehicle should be turned off. See Owner’s Manual for limitations.
