Performance
The Toyota Tundra’s third generation debuts in the 2022 model year and displays extensive improvements. These improvements touch its performance capabilities. For example, all trims now have a turbocharged V6, 389-horsepower engine. In addition to having a 10-speed transmission, this engine is offered in both rear-wheel and four-wheel drive. Some trims have an optional hybrid engine available that produces 437 combined horsepower. The Tundra also has a revamped suspension and numerous mechanical upgrades to take performance to the next level. The Ford F-150 is available with six powertrains. The base engine is a 290-horsepower V6 engine. A hybrid option is available as well, and it offers 430 combined horsepower.
Appearance
The 2022 Tundra displays modernized styling. Its large grille has a horizontally-inspired mesh. It is outlined in chrome, and the chrome element sinks down dramatically through the bumper. A chrome bar also crosses cleanly across the side doors. The headlights have an innovative look with a sideways-T element. The 2022 Ford F-150’s style remains the same, but an optional Black Appearance package is now available for select trims. This truck has a traditional look with a tall grille that rounds at the sides. Stacked headlamps flank it. Lower-body accents runs across the sides and over the fenders.
