What's New for the 2023 Toyota RAV4?
The 2023 Toyota RAV4 stands apart from other small crossovers on the market with its adventure-driven capabilities and confident styling. The RAV4's fifth generation debuted in 2019, and this year's model is a mid-generation version with a few exciting improvements. Select trims now have a larger touch display screen in the center stack and a digital instrument panel.
The exterior style maintains its strong appeal with a confident profile and long, deep accent lines on the sides. From the side view, you will find dark molding that is thicker as it rounds over the wheels. The front end is equally bold with an A-style grille featuring horizontal bars, a downturned bumper, and sharp LED headlights. The 2023 RAV4's exterior features are 17-inch wheels or larger, a sunroof, a power liftgate, fender flares, and all-terrain tires.
Inside, the RAV4 offers five-passenger seating with ample space across both rows and in the cargo area. The dashboard has an innovative look with metallic elements framing the air vents, the elevated display screen, and the center stack. The base RAV4 comes with a six-speaker sound system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, an 8-inch touch display screen, and numerous safety features. The higher trims are equipped with keyless entry, synthetic leather upholstery, heated front seats, a larger central display screen, a wireless charging station, a digital rear mirror, and an 11-speaker JBL sound system. The standard safety tech offered in all trims includes a traffic sign reader, a lane-keeping system, forward collision warning, and adaptive cruise control. Select trims also have a blind-spot monitor and a surround-view camera.
The six RAV4 trim levels for 2023 have the same powertrain, but there are differences in their capabilities. All are equipped with a four-cylinder, 203-horsepower engine with an auto eight-speed transmission. Select trims also come with a raised suspension system, all-wheel drive, hill descent control, and selectable terrain drive modes.
