 What's New for the 2023 Toyota bZ4X?

Toyota has taken a bold step into the future with the debut of its 2023 bZ4X. This is its first market-ready, all-electric crossover SUV. As a small model, this Toyota is capable of jetting five passengers down the road in electrified style. Its remarkable appeal begins on the exterior with enviable styling. The sides of the hood are geometrically molded, and these elements taper inward to connect with the definition on the nose. The body-colored front end shows off a thin, lower fascia and a pair of razor-thin headlights that are connected by a slender, black bar. The sides have an aggressive quality with thick fender molding and a geometric accent through the doors.

Inside the 2023 Toyota bZ4X continues to please its drivers and passengers. A series of user-friendly touch tabs line the squared-off infotainment system screen, and it offers controls for the navigation system, the JBL sound system, smart device connections, and more. You will find a rotary gear selector dial in the wide center console. Other interior features are an auto climate control system, USB ports, a push-button ignition, an elevated driver’s display screen, voice controls, parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assistance, and more.

This all-electric Toyota crossover SUV has been engineered to please you behind the wheel. It has a single-engine design for a front-wheel driving experience, and a double-motor alternative with all-wheel drive is also available. The front-wheel drive system gives you 201 horsepower, and the alternative offers 214 horsepower. The bZ4X has a range of up to 252 miles on a full charge.

** EPA-estimated 119 combined MPGe for 2023 bZ4X XLE FWD; 114 combined MPGe for 2023 bZ4X Limited FWD; 104 combined MPGe for 2023 bZ4X XLE AWD; 102 combined MPGe for 2023 bZ4X Limited AWD. MPGe is the EPA-equivalent of gasoline fuel efficiency for electric-mode operation. Use for comparison purposes only. Your MPGe/miles per kilowatt-hour will vary for many reasons, including your vehicle’s condition and how/where you drive. See www.fueleconomy.gov.
1. DC charging times are estimated based on ideal charging conditions. As temperatures decrease below 50 degrees Fahrenheit, charging time will increase significantly. For the bZ4X AWD model, charging may slow down more than other models in weather conditions below 32 degrees Fahrenheit and may not be possible when the temperature drops to around -4 degrees Fahrenheit and below. Drive battery level and condition, charger specifications and DC charging more than twice per day also can negatively affect charging time. Level 3 DC fast charging currently only available at public charging stations.
2. Cargo and load capacity limited by weight and distribution. Always properly secure cargo and cargo area.
3. EPA-estimated 252-mile total driving range rating for 2023 bZ4X XLE FWD; 242-mile total driving range rating for 2023 bZ4X Limited FWD; 228-mile total driving range rating for 2023 bZ4X XLE AWD; and 222-mile total driving range rating for 2023 bZ4X Limited AWD total driving range for when vehicle is fully charged and operated under ideal driving conditions. Use for comparison purposes only. Actual range may decrease significantly depending on speed, outside temperature, accessory use, how/where you drive, charging habits, and other factors. Battery capacity also decreases with time and use, which will reduce range. See www.fueleconomy.gov and Owner’s Manual for details.
